Tattoo is a form of body art where a design is created by inserting ink into the layer of skin between the epidermis and subcutaneous tissues called dermis by a kind of machine designated to execute this special task popupularly called TATTOO MACHINE. There are various reasons for getting inked up depending on the individual believe or reason but the three main category of tattoo are as follows :  fashion (purely decorative without no genuine reason) , symbolic ( this usually have a specific meaning on the wearer whether it's motivational tattoo or unforgettable memories and experience ) , pictorial ( which depicts a specific person or item this is always images and patterns) .
    However, one should fully understand and be fully aware of all the consequences that may be involved in getting inked up before going for it.  According to survey 35 % of people with tattoo regret having at after some time and that's the reason they go for tattoo removal if it's a permanent tattoo and this is usually by plastic surgery.   Tattoos have things to do with our respective society. In some African home and society, someone with a tattoo is considered wayward or irresponsible and most parents will cut off their children relationship or even friendship just because their partner got inked up. Many organisations and offices in Africa rejects job application of some job seekers if such individual got massive tattoo on the body even if they are qualified for the job, there is a high possibility of not getting the job.

      Moreover, some country military doesn't approve tattoo on their staffs, for instance Nigeria army and some other West Africa countries automatically disqualifies any applicant with tattoo at their screening exercise into the nation army and this is my personal experience with Nigerian army just because of a tattoo on my chest i was disqualified at the screening exercise before i found my passion for fashion, so make sure you think deeply before getting a tattoo and also be ready for the critics and consequences that comes with it depending on your environment and also go to an expert when getting inked up to avoid all the health risks pertaining to it.
         Tattoo health risks are not numerous as some people may think ,it is broadly divided into two part which includes allergic reaction and infections.  Allergic reaction are mostly just constant itching or inflammation days after getting the tattoo while infections may occur when the tools like needles and pins used are not properly sterilized or infected and that is the reason you must contact an expert when getting inked up because it's a very dedicate body modification which requires breaking of skin barrier and infusion of ink into the dermis.
